AIM Family Services, founded in 1972, is a voluntary organisation, with charitable status. Our free legal information drop-in centre has been operating since 1975.
Our drop-in centre operates Monday to Friday from 10.00 am to 1.00 p.m. and no appointment is necessary.
AIM provides non denominational Counselling for Couples (married, cohabiting, same sex), Individuals and Families, Family Mediation and Family Law information, and offers one stop for people with relationship difficulties.

AIM Objectives


AIM Family Services provide a number of different services and offer one stop for people with relationship difficulties.

AIM Members

  • Professionally trained and accredited counsellors.
  • Professionally trained mediators, accredited to the Mediators Institute of Ireland.
  • Volunteers who are trained to provide practical information on Family Law in our free drop-in centre and on our telephone helpline.

AIM Speakers

AIM will provide speakers to CICs, schools, community groups, party conferences etc.
AIM Family Services has been in existence since 1972 and is a registered charity. It provides a comprehensive Counselling and Mediation Service. AIM also offers a free drop-in and telephone helpline, Mon-Fri 10.00am-1.00pm, providing legal information on separation and family law

AIM Services

  • Low Cost Family Mediation Service
  • A free drop in centre at 64 Dame St providing Information on Counselling, Mediation and Family Law
  • A telephone helpline at 01 6708363 providing information on Counselling, Mediation and Family Law

  • A 24-hour telephone answering service.

AIM Clients

Are people with marriage, cohabiting, relationship, legal or other family issues. Typically individuals of all age groups and relationship types or couples whether married, cohabiting or same sex, will drop in to the AIM offices at 64 Dame St or phone our helpline looking for information on separation, family law, relationship counselling or family mediation. This is often the first step for people experiencing relationship difficulties.
Many of our clients are referred to us by G.Ps, community health workers, social welfare officers, solicitors, gardai, community information centres and other voluntary organisations. People also come to AIM because they have heard about the centre from friends, family members, the internet or the media
You do not need an appointment to visit the drop-in centre. This service is available from 1O.OOam - 1.00pm, Monday to Friday.
An appointment is necessary for counselling sessions and family mediation.
